Formerly known as The Renoir Hotel, the newly transformed San Francisco Proper Hotel is a key component of the mid-Market Street area, at the intersection of the Theatre & Loft District and the historic Civic Center. Elements of the project include a rehabilitated double-height historic lobby, six levels of newly appointed guestrooms, two dining venues, a cafe, and a rooftop bar offering outdoor seating with unique panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline. Since opening in the fall of 2017, the San Francisco Proper Hotel has become a popular gathering spot in this increasingly revitalized neighborhood.
